Diagnostic Imaging

When people get sick or hurt, they visit the doctor, describe their symptoms, and receive the appropriate care. With pets, things aren’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.

What’s more, animals are often very good at hiding the signs of illness while it continues to develop and worsen.

Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Laboratory

We partner with reputable outside veterinary laboratories and send our patient samples out for analysis. This collaboration ensures that all our diagnostic needs are met with the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Imaging

When a physical exam and lab work aren’t enough to achieve a definitive diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools enable us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

Images can be analyzed in real-time by our doctors or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet has been acting a bit under the weather lately, don’t take chances. Contact Alpha Veterinary Center right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your pet back on the path to good health again.
